Reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Lainey Wilson showed that she’s not going to let anything keep her from putting on a show…not even a weather event at an outdoor music festival.

During her set at the Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Sunday (June 11), Lainey Wilson didn’t flinch when a rainstorm rolled in. The singer continued to perform and her band continued to play, despite being soaking wet.

The rain did get so severe that her band had to stop playing and their equipment was covered with protective tarps. But, still Lainey continued to sing. According to fans in attendance, Wilson sang “Heart Like a Truck” and “Wait In The Truck” a cappella with as much energy and enthusiasm as if she had her full band backing her.

In videos shared to social media, Wilson occasionally has to hold her hat in place due to the wind, but she kept singing, completely undeterred by the storm.

Fans on social media praised Lainey Wilson’s determination and commitment to her fans.

Lainey Wilson’s Carolina Country Music Fest performance is yet another indication of why the singer is becoming one of country music’s biggest acts.

Hot on the heels of nearly sweeping the ACM Awards, Wilson is a hot commodity as she made numerous appearances and performances during last weeks CMA Fest in Nashville. The singer is also in high demand for collaborations. Her duet with HARDY on “Wait In The Truck” took home two ACM Awards. She unveiled a collab with Lauren Alaina at CMA Fest. And news of a Dolly Parton duet was recently announced.

One thing is for certain, Lainey Wilson isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. We look forward to seeing more from her for years to come.
