“Landman” Fans Are Losing It Over Actor James Jordan’s New Update On Season 3

Season 2 of Landman ended on January 18. The dramatic season finale drew in 14.8 million global views in just two days.
It came as no surprise when the show was renewed for a third season. But as early as February, the show’s co-creator, Christian Wallace, told The Hollywood Reporter their production schedule was running “a little bit later than [they] were the last two seasons.“
The first two seasons of Landman both premiered in November. In August of this year, James Jordan, who plays Dale in the series, told Us Weekly that production on Season 3 was still delayed, making a November debut appear out of the picture.
“Taylor [Sheridan] is writing as we speak,” Jordan said. “It’s going to be 10 crazy, wonderful, funny and wild episodes—just like season 1 and season 2 have been. [Series lead] Billy Bob [Thornton] and everybody, we’re all ready to get back to work.”
During the same interview, Jordan (who has appeared in many other Sheridan projects, including Lioness, Yellowstone, and 1883) said he didn’t know when Season 3 of Landman would premiere. As he outlined their potential production schedule, it became even more obvious that a November release wasn’t in the cards.
“We start [filming] sometime in September and we’ll shoot that through the first quarter of next year,” Jordan said at the time.

It’s the end of September now…which begs the question: did the cast and crew of Landman stick to that production timeline? It seems like they did!
On Thursday (September 24), James Jordan posted a long-awaited update on the series’ third season. He shared a simple photo of a trailer door labeled with Dale’s name, captioning it, “Up n runnin’ and back after it!”
He tagged the official Landman page and included the hashtags “#season3 #landman #dalebradley #jamesjordan #roughneck.”
Fans began losing it after seeing Jordan’s post. They couldn’t contain their excitement, leaving comments such as:
