Luke Combs Is Prioritizing His Wife And Kids Over Touring
Country music superstar Luke Combs is prioritizing what is important in life!
The North Carolina native said in a recent interview that he is scaling back his busy tour schedule to make time for his family.
Combs, who began performing at a very young age, dropped out of college at Appalachian State University in 2012 to pursue a career in country music.

Now as a father to two young boys, Tex (2) and Beau (1), Combs says he wants to spend more precious time at home and watching them grow.
“We’re only doing festivals this year,” Combs said.
“We got 20-something shows this year. I’ve already done 10 of them. I got 14 more shows for the rest of the whole year. I want to be home with my kids. I want to see my kids grow up and I want them to know that they’re important to me.”
The singer said that while the boys recognize his voice on the radio, they don’t entirely know what he does or all that goes into it – and plans to keep it that way.
Combs says that moving forward he wants his children to know that his job is “not more important than they are.”

Combs Making History In Country Music
In August of 2013, Combs made history by becoming the first artist to have three Diamond-certified country singles from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The Diamond certification is awarded to songs that have sold more than 10 million units.
Luke Combs Released An Album Titled Fathers & Sons in 2024
In June of 2024, just two days before Father’s Day, Combs released his fifth studio album, Fathers & Sons, which featured a photo of him, his own father, and his two sons on the cover.
“Obviously, that’s kind of where my headspace is. It’s just kind of hard to focus on anything else other than that. That’s what my world is right now,” Combs said of the album. “I’m lucky to get to spend three or four days a week at home with the kids. We play two nights a week, so the rest of the days I’m home with them. That’s what I’m doing. I go out and play some shows and come home and make breakfast and lunches and naps and diapers.”
