‘Marshals’ Season 2 Trailer Shows Who Survived Dramatic Season 1 Finale

Marshals Season 2 will be here before we know it, and the show just released the first trailer for the second season that shows Kayce Dutton at the center of multiple crises.
Marshals, a Yellowstone spin-off centered on Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), follows Kayce as he joins an elite team of U.S. Marshals after the death of his wife, Monica.
As you’d expect, Kayce and his team inevitably find themselves in the midst of many dangerous situations.
Over 20 million viewers tuned into the show’s premiere, so it’s no surprise why CBS renewed the show for a second season on March 12th. The first season concluded with a cliffhanger finale on May 24th, and they quickly got to work on the second season, with the show confirming production began in early June.
In July, the show released a short teaser, which showed Kayce in a dangerous situation once again. One new character said, “I’ve heard stories about the Duttons,” before Kayce was being pinned down on his dining room table.
“The fact that you’re doing this tells me you haven’t heard them all,” Kayce replied and immediately fought back.
When Does Season 2 Of Marshals Premiere?
When they dropped the Season 2 teaser in July, CBS did not reveal when it would premiere. But, now we know that Marshals will return to television on Sunday, October 4!
Marshals will be available to watch on CBS on Sundays, and streaming the following day on Paramount+.

On September 2, Marshals dropped the first trailer for the upcoming season, and boy, does it look good!
Kayce narrates the beginning, saying, “The Dutton family legacy was never about land. It’s about always having a fight.”
Almost immediately, we learn the fate of team leader Pete “Cal” Calvin and Belle Skinner, who looked as though they were going to be gunned down in the Season 1 finale. From the looks of it, their near-death experience brought them even closer.
They appear multiple times throughout the trailer, so it’s safe to assume they survive the attack that alleged-Kayce Dutton friend Tom Weaver set up.
If you recall, Weaver was rescued by Kayce and Cal in one of the early episodes of last season and remained a fixture, taking kindly to Kayce and his son, Tate.
After a while, he offered to buy Kayce’s property, but when Kayce turned him down, it seems like he’s not taking no for an answer. At the end of Season 1, Tom took Tate on a fishing trip to Texas, but as the trailer reveals, it really is a kidnapping. A phone call reveals that Kayce must sell his land, also known as East Camp, to Weaver or his son’s life will be in danger.
Ash Santos, who plays Andrea Cruz, also appears even though her character got her job back in Washington D.C. It was clear last season that she felt conflicted when she got the orders to return home.
And finally, Kayce deals with the reality that his son will grow up with death and violence around him, despite his efforts and now he will just have to live with that. We might get a little more of Kayce’s backstory, as we see a young Kayce appear for a split second shortly after he is given the “Y” Yellowstone brand.
The logline for Episode 1 of Season 2, titled “All Hat No Cattle,” reads: “When Kayce realizes Tate has been taken hostage, he goes rogue in a desperate race to save his son as the Marshals uncover a powerful criminal operation tied to the East Camp land grab. A violent showdown ensues, putting everything Kayce cares about at risk.”
What will this season hold for Kayce as he toes the line of being a US Marshal and also a close confidant and protector of the Broken Rock Reservation, where his wife grew up and where his son was raised?
