Mia Robertson Reveals She’s Been Dealing With A Stalker For Over A Year

Mia Robertson, the daughter of Duck Dynasty stars Jase and Missy Robertson, is opening up about her scary experience with a stalker.
Until now, Mia had chosen to keep the situation out of the public eye, but recently decided it was the right time to speak about what she’s been dealing with for the past year.
She was attending college in Tennessee when the ordeal first started.
“i’ve gone over how and if i wanted to share what’s been going on in my life this past year. i know i want to start and end this post by keeping it centered around how God uses everything in our lives for the good. even when we don’t understand what the good is yet,” Mia wrote in an Instagram post on June 14.
She went on to share that once she and her family realized she had a stalker, the situation escalated fast. Mia said it “pretty quickly went from 0 to 100,” and things became so serious that she even had to go by a different name during her senior year.
“my name, Mia Robertson, is something I am incredibly proud of,” the post continued. “it connects me with my beautiful God-fearing family, and our story of overcoming so many trials life threw our way. during this past year, i was full of anxiety and fear every time I heard my real name in public.”
It was an incredibly stressful season of life for the 22-year-old, and the fear she was living with began to take a toll on both her schoolwork and personal life.
But eventually, Mia decided she wasn’t going to let the situation control her anymore. Instead, she chose to move forward with her head held high.
“did this mean i posted where i went to school, or what city or restaurant i was in currently? no,” she clarified. “but it did mean that i lived my life again. anxiety and fear were controlling my life, and i knew i could not continue like this anymore. i realized that if all i did was sit around and worry about what might happen, how i would i be able to listen to what God has to say about my life? he already knows what is going to happen, so why would i worry about it?”
Mia Robertson Says Stalker Is “Currently In Jail”
And then, Mia and her family received some life-changing news. She says that she was notified that her stalker was arrested and is currently behind bars.
“two weeks ago, we got the call that finally, after over a year of being tormented by this person, he has been arrested, and is currently in jail. i called my friends and they brought me a cake, and i was finally able to use my real name at a restaurant that day.”
The photo accompanying Mia’s statement is a black-and-white image of her holding the cake. She’s smiling, and the candle’s on top spells out “CELEBRATE.”
She wrapped up her post by saying her main intention for sharing this part of her life is to be an outlet for anyone else going through a similar situation.
“i am posting this because i never really use my platform for things like this, but i probably should. if you are reading this and have been a victim of stalking, feel free to message me🫶🏼 you are not alone. if i had to go through this so you don’t have to, then it was all worth it in the end! TYJ I ask for continued prayers that he stays in jail so that I am able to continue my life in peace!!”
Things are finally looking up for Mia now. Just a few weeks ago, she graduated from Libscomb University and moved back home to Louisiana.
She also remains active with her family’s charity, the Mia Moo Foundation, which supports children born with cleft lip and palate.
