Miranda Lambert has already released three singles from Postcards From Texas.

The lead single, “Wranglers,” came just before “Dammit Randy.” And now, fans get the chance to hear her latest offering! Miranda dropped her new song, “Alimony,” alongside the album announcement.

Fans were pretty much begging her to release it to hear the full thing, and now, they can!

“Alimony” has quickly become a fan favorite. The official lyric video on YouTube already has over 11,000 views in just 6 hours.

The brand-new track has a catchy melody and sharp lyrics addressing the aftermath of a divorce. Miranda, drawing from her own experiences, gives the song a lot of heart, and even a little bit of humor.

She said that her goal was to “put some humor back in” a pretty bleak situation. See the lyrics to the chorus below.

“Cause I called that lawyer up in Dallas /

The one who’s livin’ in that palace /

So I know he’s good at winnin’ /

If you think there’s something that you’re missing /

If you start steppin’ out /

Only one thing can console me /

If you’re gonna leave me in San Antone /

Well, remember the alimony.”
