Last week in Boulder County, Colorado, a driver witnessed an unusual sight so he pulled over to film it. Chris Devlin was near the Switzerland Trail when he saw a bull moose attacking a parked car. It was such a bizarre sight to see that it prompted Devlin to film the encounter as possible evidence for the owner who was going to return to find their car destroyed.

The video shows the culprit repeatedly attacking the rear end of the car with its massive antlers. Devlin stopped and began honking in an attempt to get the moose to stop. But all the noise did was draw the moose’s attention to Devlin’s car.

“Sure enough that moose reared its head at me. I’ll tell you what, I didn’t want that moose coming my way. I quickly kind of backed off the horn, and he went back to his business,” Devlin told 9 News.

When the moose finally lost interest in the inanimate object, he began to make his way back into the woods. Since Devlin felt safe he decided the decent thing to do was to leave a note on the car for when the owner came back.

“Was just driving by and saw a moose attacking your car,” the note read. Devlin also wrote his phone number in case the owner wanted the video evidence of the moose attack.
