Morgan Wallen has once again showcased his philanthropic spirit.

He recently made a substantial donation through the Morgan Wallen Foundation to revitalize two local Tennessee baseball fields.

The fields are located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, about 40 minutes from where the country singer grew up. They hold a special place in Wallen’s heart as he used to play Little League Baseball games there as a kid.

Over time, however, the fields were neglected and have since been in bad shape.

For the past seven years, kids have had to go to other towns to play. Now, thanks to Wallen’s $100,000 donation, the young players in Jefferson City can look forward to playing on their home turf again!

Wallen’s donation will help improve the Roy Harmon Field ($80,000) and the New Market Field ($20,000).

The money will be used to improve the fields with new infields, bases, dugouts, and more. This will benefit around 300 young players, who can now look forward to better facilities.

According to the Morgan Wallen Foundation, Morgan Wallen created the organization in 2021 “to help ensure that young people could have access to the same opportunities he had in the areas of sports and music.”

Jefferson City Little League President, Robbie Britt, said:

“Local little league is a pillar of the community – it creates a foundation for families to come together and enjoy an American pastime while teaching our youth skills that go beyond baseball. We’d like to thank Morgan Wallen Foundation for all of their support.”

Mitch Cain, the Mayor of Jefferson City, believes Wallen’s donation will positively impact the youth for “years to come.”

“As a Public Servant, this is one of the most inspiring community projects I’ve been involved in over the past 15 years. Investing in people is one of the greatest priorities of City government, and this partnership with the Morgan Wallen Foundation has provided Jefferson City with a very bright future. On behalf of the citizens of Jefferson City, we thank the Morgan Wallen Foundation for partnering with us. Their investment in our community and in our kids is making a positive difference.”

Morgan Wallen has been actively involved in multiple charitable events, including Riley Green’s charity softball game and concert a few years ago which benefited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Jacksonville State University athletics.

Watch Wallen hit a home run at the event in the video below. He’s still got it!

Jefferson City is clearly special to Wallen, and he even mentions it in his hit song “Thought You Should Know.”

Wallen’s “Thought You Should Know” is a tribute to his mom, Leslie. In the song, he talks about how he’s realized that while he’s been having fun, his mom has been worried about him at home. Without saying it directly, it seems like Wallen is thanking his mom for everything she’s done for him while he chases his dreams.

“I thought you should know
That all those prayers you thought you wasted on me,
Must’ve finally made their way on through.

I thought you should know
I got me a new girl down in Jefferson City, and
She lets me fish whenever I want to.

Yeah, I’m still proud of where I came from,
Still your only d*mn son.
Can you believe I’m on the radio?

Just thought you should know /
Thought you should know /
Thought you should know.”
