Morgan Wallen Is Finding Inspiration In Fatherhood
Parenthood and stardom collide in Morgan Wallen’s latest release. The Tennessee native just dropped his newest song, “Superman,” which he wrote for his son.
Morgan Wallen became a father on July 10, 2020, when he welcomed his son Indigo (Indie for short) with his ex-girlfriend KT Smith.
Earlier this year, Wallen teased a clip of the forthcoming song and wrote:
“Been trying for a long time to write a song I loved to my son. None of them ever feel good enough because of how perfect I want something like this to be. And not saying this is perfect, but I am very proud of it.”
Wallen References His Shortcomings in “Superman”
In April 2024, news of the “Last Night” singer’s arrest spread like wildfire, as did his mugshot, where he was seen grinning from ear to ear. Wallen faced felony charges after throwing a chair off the rooftop of Eric Church’s Nashville Bar, which landed near two Metro Police officers below. Thankfully, no one was injured.
While the charges were ultimately reduced to misdemeanors, Wallen acknowledges that this highly visible incident will remain a part of his story.
“Superman” begins:
“One day you’re gonna see my mugshot, from a night when I got a little too drunk…”
