During his performance at Texasโ€™s American Rodeo on Saturday, March 9, Post Malone took a moment to honor music icon Toby Keith.

At this yearโ€™s American Rodeo in Texas, the audience gathered to witness hip-hop artist Post Malone, who has recently explored into country music.

During his performance, Post Malone surprised everyone with a sincere tribute to the late country legend Toby Keith, who tragically passed away this year due to stomach cancer, by singing a rendition of Keithโ€™s hit song โ€œAs Good as I Once Was.โ€

Midway into the performance, Post Malone took a pause, lifted a red solo cup on stage, and poured out a bit of the drink in a symbolic tribute to Keith. He then seamlessly continued and concluded the song.

Post Maloneโ€™s tribute showed his genuine love for country music and his respect for the legendary singers who have shaped the genre. The heartfelt gesture made the event truly memorable for all in attendance.

Post Malone To Release A Country Album

Post Maloneโ€™s connection to country music has been evident for years, with his live performances often featuring covers of classic country tunes. Fans have long speculated about the possibility of him releasing a country album, and recently, he confirmed those suspicions.

During a Twitch livestream, Post Malone casually dropped the bombshell, confirming the rumors of an upcoming country record.

โ€œCountry record is comingโ€ฆ I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville, and itโ€™s so fโ€“ing sick, but itโ€™s not out.โ€ 

While he didnโ€™t go into specifics about the upcoming project, he did mention that heโ€™s currently working on two albums, leaving fans curious about whether one or both projects will explore the country genre. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Post Maloneโ€™s collaboration with Hardy on the highly anticipated โ€œHixtape Vol. 3: Difftape,โ€ set to release on March 29, 2024.
