Post Malone was a surprise performer during the Bobby Bones Million Dollar Show

On Wednesday, April 3rd, radio host Bobby Bones brought a star-studded lineup of musicians to the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee for the Bobby Bones Million Dollar Show. The seventh annual fundraiser benefitted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital whose mission is to “improve the survival rates of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases, worldwide.”

The evening’s lineup included country artists Jon Pardi, Megan Moroney, Ian Munsick, and Sam Hunt and artists from other genres, including Ben Rector, Edwin McCain, Matt Kearney, and more. That impressive docket alone was enough to ensure a memorable night, but Mr. Bones had some tricks up his sleeve.

Will Post Malone be the next artist to cross over into country music?

Post Malone, born Austin Richard Post, he has frequently expressed his affinity and admiration for country music. He has even released cover videos of some famous country tunes and as of late, has been collaborating with artists in the genre. At the 2023 CMA Awards, he joined forces with Morgan Wallen and HARDY for a special performance honoring Joe Diffie, and also appears on the recent album Hixtape Vol. 3: Difftape, which tributes the 90s country icon.

In December, the musician confirmed during a Twitch livestream that a country album is in the works. He said:

“Country record is coming… I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville, and it’s so f–ing sick, but it’s not out.”
