The Australian actor made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about playing Elvis.
“It wasn’t on my list of people to play. It was a little bit terrifying.”
Fallon congratulated Elordi on the impressive role and asked if he had been an Elvis fan growing up. “No. The most I knew of Elvis was in Lilo and Stitch,” referring to Lilo slowly turning Stitch into a full-fledged Elvis impersonator. The popular Disney movie also showcases five popular songs by American singer Elvis Presley.
Fallon then asked if it was intimidating to have Coppola directing him. “I think it was just exciting. That was just like pure bliss. That was the whole reason. The whole time I was trying to take it like I was making Blue Valentine or something. Just like a straight-up relationship drama without Elvis and Priscilla for Sophia Coppola. That was like the goal.”
We are excited to see Elordi truly capture the essence of Elvis Presley’s charisma, style, and musical genius!
