Reba McEntire Reveals Why She’s In The Happiest Season Of Her Life
on

Reba McEntire is in one of the most joyful seasons of her life, and we love to see it.
After more than five decades in the music and television industries, Reba shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The country music icon is preparing for the return of her NBC sitcom, Happy’s Place, which is set to premiere its third season on October 23.
Reba also recently released her new single, “Could Have Been Raining,” marking her sixth new release of the year. The song is part of the “Fancy” singer’s ongoing musical celebration of her remarkable 50-year career in country music.
As if her professional life weren’t busy enough, Reba is also enjoying some exciting milestones in her personal life. The country superstar became a grandmother to another precious baby boy and is engaged to her longtime partner, actor and Happy’s Place co-star Rex Linn.
In a recent interview with Woman’s World, Reba opened up about everything she has going on, and why this is the most special era yet.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been happier. I feel grateful. I know myself better. I’m 71 years old. I’m healthy. I’m happy and thankful. I get to work at the level that I want to work at with people who are so much fun and talented,” Reba admits.
Although Reba never planned on having children, she says becoming a mother to her son, Shelby, has brought her happiness day after day.
“They always say, you are only as happy as your children are. Well, my children are happy,” she told the outlet. “I’ve been a grandma seven times, but the one I’m looking forward to is watching Shelby be a dad and Marissa be a mom because Mama always said you haven’t lived life until you’ve had a child of your own. I never really planned on having kids, but then when I wanted a child, God gave me Shelby and . . . he just brought us joy day after day.”
Reba also shared just how much she loves going to work with Rex, gushing about the atmosphere on Happy’s Place and the joy that it brings everyone on set.
“When I go to work with the love of my life and step through those doors, it’s people with smiles on their faces. Nobody is in a bad mood and we know how blessed we are to get the job that we have. So I just take one day at a time and live in the present as much as I can and be grateful.”
Good for you, Reba. She’s certainly earned the chance to enjoy this chapter and live it to the fullest!
