Reba McEntire’s Son & Daughter-In-Law Welcome A Sweet Baby Boy
On October 21, Reba McEntire’s son, Shelby Blackstock, and his wife, Marissa, announced the exciting arrival of their first child together, a baby boy named Archie!
The journey to welcoming Archie was not an easy one for the couple. They had been candid about their struggles with infertility, sharing the emotional challenges they faced along the way.
Shelby and Marissa got married at Walt Disney World in February 2022. Not long after, they decided to start trying to have a baby, but the process wasn’t as smooth as they’d hoped it would be.
In July 2025, Marissa wrote a social media post seeking support as she explained her and Shelby were officially going through In Vitro fertilization (IVF).
In April, the two first shared they were expecting, back at the magical place it all began for them – Disney World!
“Oh, BOY! We’re beyond excited to FINALLY announce our little man is coming in October. See ya real soon, pal! Mommy + Daddy love you!” they wrote at the time.
Shelby and Marissa documented sweet moments throughout the pregnancy, including a “Welcome To The World Tour” themed baby shower hosted at Vinyl Vault in Nashville, Tennessee.

Shelby Explains Why Archie’s Face Won’t Be Shown Online
Just a few days after welcoming Archie, Shelby took to his Instagram Stories to share a decision he and Marissa have made as new parents. He explained that the couple plans to keep their son out of the public eye and will not post photos revealing his face online.
“For privacy and safety reasons, we’ve decided to keep archer’s face off social media for the time being,” Shelby wrote.
Shelby explained that while he respects parents who choose to share photos of their children online, his own experience growing up in the public eye has shaped his perspective.
He noted that the world has changed significantly since his childhood in the 1990s, bringing new concerns that he and Marissa want to consider as they protect their son’s privacy.
Shelby followed up with a precious throwback photo of himself as a baby, giving fans a playful hint at what his son might look like. The proud dad pointed out the resemblance between his own baby picture from 1990 and little Archie.
