Reba McEntire has some exciting news for her fans— a new album is in the works, and she just offered a sneak peek of her unreleased single.

During an interview on the Jennifer Hudson Show on Thursday, May 2, Reba sat down with the singer and host to confirm that she is working on a new album. She also revealed that fans will get to hear the first single from the new album for the first time at the ACM Awards, where Reba is scheduled to perform.

Although Reba didn’t go into too much detail about the album release, she did treat her fans to a brief preview of her upcoming single, “I Can’t,” during her appearance on the daytime talk show.

Not only will Reba grace the stage with a new song at the awards show, but she’ll also step into the role of host for the 17th time.

Reba has quite the history with hosting the ACM awards show. She has hosted it an impressive 16 times before, starting back in 1986. Her last solo hosting gig was in 2019, and in previous years, she has shared hosting duties with other talents such as Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Hank Williams Jr., and more.

On top of Reba’s special performance, other performers at the ACM Awards this year will include Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, and more. The venue for this year’s ACM Awards will be the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, marking the second consecutive year at the home of the Dallas Cowboys and streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime.
