Reba McEntire’s Son, Daughter-in-Law Share Snaps Of “World Tour” Baby Shower

Reba McEntire is going to be a grandmother!
In April, the country music superstar’s only son, Shelby Blackstock, and his wife, Marissa, announced that they are expecting their first child!
Shelby was born in 1990 to Reba and her now-ex-husband, Narvel Blackstock. The soon-to-be-parents shared a sweet photoshoot from Disney World where they revealed that their baby BOY is due to arrive in October of this year. They wrote:
“Oh, BOY! We’re beyond excited to FINALLY announce our little man is coming in October. See ya real soon, pal! Mommy + Daddy love you!”
The amusement park holds special meaning for the couple, who exchanged their vows during a magical ceremony in front of the Disney World castle in 2022.
While Reba McEntire has a relationship with the two children of her late stepson, Brandon Blackstock, this will be her first biological grandchild.
Shower Details & Baby Name Revealed
Over the weekend, Shelby and Marissa Blackstock celebrated their baby on the way with an adorable “Welcome To The World” Tour-themed baby shower. Hosted a Vinyl Vault in Nashville, Tennessee, the celebration was perfect for the grandchild of a musical icon.
The invitations looked like backstage passes, and the guest book was a signed platinum record. The welcome sign cleverly read, “hottest new release of the year.”
Additionally, photos from the shower revealed that the baby boy will be named Archer Blackstock – “Archie” for short. Marissa’s mom brought a cake from her favorite hometown bakery, Taylor’s Bakery in Indianapolis.

Marissa Blackstock Shares Additional Photos From The Celebration
Two weeks after the baby shower, Marissa shared a full gallery showing additional details of the thoughtful shower. Custom drink stirrers and koozies were made with the baby’s initials, and even the burger buns were branded with the emblem.
Guests had the opportunity to build a baby playlist, snap photos in the photo booth, or shoot some pool. The soon-to-be-mom wrote:
“Our first tour stop was officially SOLD OUT. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our boy and make his first official event so incredibly special. We are so grateful for all the love, support, and excitement surrounding our little headliner.”

Marissa Blackstock Gets Real About IVF Journey
At the beginning of the year, Marissa Blackstock revealed that she and Shelby were entering their second round of IVF treatments. Additionally, she shared that their first attempt had resulted in a positive pregnancy, but that it turned out to be a “chemical pregnancy.”
This term is often used to describe a very early miscarriage within the first five weeks of pregnancy, shortly after implantation, before it can be detected by an ultrasound. She wrote:
“The love, messages, prayers, and support from friends and this community have been overwhelming in the best way. I wish I could thank every single person personally. Just know we feel it, and we’re so grateful. Infertility is hard, but we don’t feel alone. ✨”
