Stella Parton Reflects On Grief One Month After Dolly’s Death

Dolly Parton’s younger sister, Stella Parton, has taken to Instagram to reflect on the one month anniversary of Dolly’s passing.
Dolly Parton passed away on August 25 following a brief battle with cancer.
Following her death, her siblings paid tribute to her on social media, with her sister Stella penning a beautiful note about her.
“If anyone gets to heaven I’m sure she made it right on time,” Stella wrote, starting her note by saying that Dolly “got her wings.”
She continued, “I know she’s showing out big time, in all her sparkles and shine. That was my sister’s way.”
Nearly One Month After Dolly’s Death, Stella Parton Opens Up About Her Grief
On Thursday (September 24), Stella took to social media to open up about what the last month has looked like for her and her family.
“Tomorrow will be one month since my big sister Dolly left us on this side of what is called reality,” she wrote. “I feel her presence now as much as always. Her light will never go out because the seeds of goodness she planted in all our lives will keep growing!”
She also reminded that her family was already in mourning, as they were grieving the loss of Coy “Denver” Parton, their brother, less than one month before Dolly’s passing. Denver passed away on July 23rd.

Stella continued, “All families have the same struggles since we are all living in this world having a human experience!”
She seemingly commented on the drama involving her nephew, Bryan Seaver, and Dolly’s estate, writing, “We are still intact and moving forward because our children and grandchildren look to us for strength and guidance during this difficult time of loss and confusion for them as well. Regardless of what you may have seen on different news outlets, we are all doing what you would be doing under the same circumstances, we are living our lives one day at a time and being grateful for every blessing.“
While Dolly was laid to rest in a private ceremony, Stella revealed there is a celebration of her sister’s life on September 25th.
Many around the world will also be celebrating her, as 9/25 has been dubbed “Dolly Parton Day.” Many establishments have pledged to donate the money they earn on 9/25 to Dolly’s Imagination Library.
