In the spirit of the 2024 Summer Olympics kicking off today, we wanted to throw it back four years and share a pretty impressive gymnastics routine.

Even though the 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed, one guy (literally) sure kept the spirit alive!

Guy Bell, a farmer and family man from Amarillo, Texas, went viral online for his unconventional gymnastics routine. The family was out feeding their horses when Bell saw his daughter, Avery, doing some balance work. And that’s when he got a funny idea.

“I handed my dad my phone and said, ‘Hey, dad, watch this.’ Did my little routine, and the three of us watched the video, and we all got a good laugh about it, and I thought, ‘I think I’ll post it.'”

From his perfect mount on the “balance beam” hitching rail to his flawless dismount, viewers worldwide got a kick out of Bell’s skills.

After his Facebook video went viral, the word traveled pretty fast. KAMR Local 4 News in Amarillo, Texas, heard about Bell’s hilarious routine and wanted to interview him.

“I love to see people happy, and whatever I’m doing, I try to make it fun,” Bell shared.

He also said that he hopes the video sends a positive message to others.

“Enjoy every second you have with the ones you love because life is flying by…that’s the fun thing about most of my stuff is I’ve got somebody in my family around me. My dad is always filming. It’s a family thing. We have a lot of fun together.”

With an impressive routine like that, this Texas cowboy should be in the Olympics! Bell even joked in his caption on his video, “I think I won the Zinc Medal for sure!!”

His video on Facebook now has over 16,000 likes and 60,000 shares!
