The CMT Music Awards showcase so many talented artists, it’s sometimes difficult to choose a favorite.

Country star Dierks Bentley planned to make that decision even more difficult by honoring the audience with his performance of the lead track from The Mountain, titled “Burning Man.”

Touted as Bentley’s most impactful song since 2015’s memorable “Riser,” this tale of a man’s evolution features the artist’s good friends and touring buddies, Brothers Osborne. As you listen to this tune, you’ll hear TJ Osborne jump in with a verse and guitarist John kicking up some dust with his solo contribution.

Bentley was up for CMT‘s Collaborative Video of the Year award with fellow singer Cole Swindell (“Flatliner”). He’s taking a day or two off his Mountain High Tour with Brothers Osborne and Lanco to perform at the event and hopes to leave with an award.

The Mountain, Bentley’s ninth major label album, drops June 8th. He debuted the track during a live concert in Las Vegas at the end of 2017, and has since released a number of other tunes from his latest album, including the first single, “Woman, Amen,” “Living,” “You Can’t Bring Me Down” and “The Mountain.”

Bentley and Brothers Osborne were one of the highly anticipated collaborations on the awards show. After watching this video, you’ll understand why.
