Thomas Rhett Debuts New Love Song At The 59th Annual ACM Awards

This year’s Academy of Country Music Awards was nothing short of a resounding success.
Held at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, the event, hosted by the legendary Reba McEntire, was a celebration of talent and glamour, showcasing the finest offerings of country music.
Among the esteemed performers of the night, the sensational Thomas Rhett delivered a captivating and unforgettable performance of his latest single.
Although Rhett wasn’t nominated for any ACM awards this year, he mesmerized the audience with the television debut of his new love song, “Beautiful As You.”
Only released a few days before the show, this lively anthem showcases fast-paced lyrics and serves as a sneak peek of Rhett’s seventh studio album, set to launch on August 23.

“Beautiful As You” is another heartfelt addition to his collection of songs inspired by his profound love for his wife, Lauren. Reflecting on his personal love story, the song captures his amazement at having someone as remarkable as his wife.
“From a lyrical standpoint, this is just my take on it of just kind of looking at her and being like, ‘Why did you choose me? Of all the people in the world, I am the last candidate.’ So I think that there’s a lot of guys out there that can relate that we just completely out-kicked our coverage and that’s basically what this song is in a nutshell.”

Prior to the show, Rhett shared his excitement and plans for the highly-anticipated performance with Country Now, expressing his desire to engage intimately with the audience. He revealed his intention to weave through the crowd, delivering the heartfelt anthem, and capturing the energy of his listeners up-close and personal.
“We’re going to rehearsal today and I know what our stage looks like, but I think we’re trying to figure out how we want to move. I feel like I just always do better when I get to have interaction with people rather than just standing on that stage. So I think we’re going to try to work out some sort of path through the crowd and end up on stage.”
