Now, in June 2023, Toby has not only opened up about his cancer journey but also delivered two surprise impromptu shows.

The news of Toby’s unexpected performance spread like wildfire on social media and fans came out in droves to hear him. Social media posts featured images of a beaming Toby Keith, radiating joy as he graced the stage once again.

“Toby’s first rehearsal turned into a 2 1/2 hour pop-up show. He sang all the hits plus the Bus Songs… Toby is back!” exclaimed the ecstatic social media updates.

To everyone’s delight, Toby Keith didn’t stop at one extraordinary performance. The following night, he returned to the Hollywood Corners Station, accompanied by his esteemed writing partner, Scotty Emerick. This unexpected encore only solidified the notion that Toby was back and better than ever.

“It felt so right, Toby had to do it twice. Two nights in a row at Hollywood Corners Station LLC. Writing buddy Scotty Emerick joined Toby. Nights to remember! Toby’s back!” the second social media post ecstatically declared.

While Toby’s journey is far from over, his determination to overcome his cancer battle shines through. The resilient artist has undergone surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, resulting in a significant reduction in tumor size.

Speaking to The Oklahoman, Toby revealed his renewed energy and hinted at a potential return to the stage, stating, “I’ve got more wind… I’m thinking about bringing the band in and setting up, playing two or three days somewhere just to see if I can get through two hours.”

Toby Keith eagerly anticipates his upcoming scan results and remains committed to his treatment plan, which includes chemotherapy and immunotherapy, supported by a dedicated nutritionist.

“If I do [have the energy and stamina], [I’ll] be out on the road this fall,” Toby hinted, sparking hope among his devoted following.
