Tom Hanks Was Spotted Enjoying His Son’s Band, Something Out West

A band could have a million fans, but the one fan that might mean the most for a band member could be their dad.

One highlight of the 2026 Stagecoach festival was a surprise appearance of someone special in the audience…

As the band Something Out West performed on April 25, fans noticed Hollywood actor Tom Hanks — known for such memorable roles as Big (1988), Toy Story (1995), Cast Away (2000), Catch Me If You Can (2002), and Elvis (2022) — was in attendance.

Seen moving to the beat, Tom Hanks happens to be the father of Something Out West’s lead singer, Chet Hanks.

Chet, who is 35, is one of Tom’s four children, and the eldest of his children with his wife, Rita Wilson.
