Attention Wheel of Fortune fans, are you ready for a thrilling episode?

In a historic moment on Wednesday (May 10), Vanna White, the co-host of the show, competed on Wheel of Fortune for the first time in her 40-year career!

And to top it off, the show also featured a new, primetime edition called Celebrity Wheel of Fortune: Ultimate Host Night, with some of our other favorite game show hosts, Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings from Jeopardy!.

But wait, who filled in for Vanna White’s shoes on this special night? Well, it was none other than 28-year-old Maggie Sajak, the daughter of host Pat Sajak.

Maggie has been preparing for this moment for years, having made several appearances on the show since she was just a year old. She’s currently the show’s social correspondent, giving us a glimpse behind-the-scenes.

Maggie had big shoes to fill, as she took on the role of letter-turner, which Vanna White has made look so effortless over the years.

But, fear not, Maggie has been preparing for this moment for some time now. In fact, she has filled in for Vanna before when her dad was out for emergency surgery in 2019. She even received a tutorial from the TV legend on how to press the letters just right.

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Maggie shared that Vanna was “so gracious” in teaching her how to do the job, and it was a new experience for both of them. She added that her dad was proud of the job she and Vanna did, taking over the show during a difficult time.

So, Wheel of Fortune fans, if you didn’t get the chance to watch the show yet, get ready for an exciting and historic episode with Vanna White competing for the first time, and Maggie Sajak stepping into her shoes as the letter-turner.

And let’s not forget our other beloved game show hosts, Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings, joining in on the fun. Pat Sajak was hosting as usual, so tune in and watch as these iconic hosts take on the famous wheel!
