Who Is Dolly Weaver On “Marshals”? Here’s Where You’ve Seen The Actress Before
on
This article contains spoilers for Season 2 of Marshals.
The second season of Marshals premiered on CBS on Sunday, October 4th. We once again follow Kayce Dutton as he and his team of US Marshals defend Montana from dangerous criminals and so much more.
The mainstays of Marshals include Kayce, Pete “Cal” Calvin, Miles Kittle, Andrea Cruz, and Belle Skinner, but the episodes are rounded out with guest stars, recurring characters and supporting roles.
How We First Met Tom And Dolly Weaver
One of the guest stars that turned into a recurring character and potential love interest for Kayce is Dolly Weaver, who we first met in Season 1 after Kayce and Cal saved her father, Tom Weaver, when he was involved in a plane crash.
As the season went on, Tom and Kayce built a friendship, as did Dolly and Kayce, though Dolly and Kayce’s was a bit more flirtatious!
At the end of Season 1, Tom offered to buy Kayce’s property, which is referred to as East Camp, but because that’s the only part of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch that is left and where his wife is buried, he declines.
Tom seems to accept this and convinces Kayce to let him take Tate on a fishing trip to Texas. Because of their growing friendship and built trust, Kayce agrees.
But, in the last moments of Season One, we realize this trip isn’t exactly for leisure. We find out that Tom is actually kidnapping Tate, and that Tom has been behind all the attacks on East Camp throughout the first season.
The end of Season One showed Dolly and Kayce riding horseback on his property, seemingly starting a new chapter together.
Very quickly into Season Two, Kayce realized Tom is not the man he says he is and has kidnapped Tate. Thinking Dolly was in on it the whole time honey trapping him, he ties her up to use her as leverage as well.
Once he realizes she was in the dark about her father’s plans, they drive together to Wyoming (not Texas) to get Tate.
There, negotiations take a turn and Dolly chooses her father over Kayce, believing that Kayce and Tate will still be safe.
After a fight, and some help from his Marshals team, Kayce rescues Tate and they all chase after Tom and Dolly, who are now driving in a red SUV.
Tom loses control of the vehicle and they crash into a boulder, sending them rolling down a cliffside. Once they stop, Dolly’s injuries have killed her and Kayce makes Tom live with the responsibility of his daughter’s death rather than kill him too.
While this was the last we will see of Dolly this season, it left viewers with several questions, but the main one is: Where have we seen her before?!
