1923 Reveals Date For Its Long-Awaited Return With Season 2
After a nearly two-year wait, 1923 has revealed the day that Season 2 will premiere.
1923 is a prequel to the wildly popular Paramount series Yellowstone. The show follows the Dutton family ancestors fighting to protect their ranch…and each other.
Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren lead the charge as Jacob and Cara Dutton. Other stars include Brandon Sklenar (Spencer Dutton), Julia Schlaepfer (Alexandra), Darren Mann (Jack Dutton), Aminah Nieves (Teona Rainwater), and Michelle Randolph (Elizabeth).
1923‘s first season ended in February 2023 with the fate of the Duttons’ ranch in jeopardy. The episode also separated Spencer Dutton from his wife, Alexandra. However, she vowed to find him in Montana.
Much like Yellowstone, production on the new season of 1923 experienced delays. This was due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The cast and crew could not create new episodes during the strikes.
Production finally resumed this year, but little was heard about Season 2. Until now…

The show will not air on regular TV. It’s exclusive to the Paramount+ streaming service.
On top of revealing when Season 2 will premiere, 1923 also shared a brief teaser of the new season. The short clip features a voice-over from Spencer, who exclaims, “I am needed in Montana. My family is in danger. I don’t have time!“
The voice-over accompanies clips of the various 1923 characters in action, many of them appearing distressed or otherwise in trouble.
