Zach Bryan Signs New Record Deal With Warner Records
Zach Bryan is extending his partnership with Warner Records.
According to Variety, the country star, who first signed with the label in 2021, will continue working with the company under a new deal that includes at least two more albums.
In addition to his new record deal, Bryan is also said to be in the process of selling his publishing catalog. This move is estimated to be worth around a whopping $350 million.
When an artist sells their music catalog, they’re essentially handing over their rights to their songs.
This includes all future royalties earned from streams, radio play, television, film use, and more. It will go to a new owner in exchange for a finalized sum of money for the artist.
At just 29 years old, Bryan has become one of the biggest names in modern country music since launching his professional career after being honorably discharged from the Navy.
Having only been signed to a major record label for about four years, the reported value of his catalog is pretty incredible, especially when compared to many of his fellow country music colleagues who have been in the genre for much longer.
Zach Bryan Breaks Record For The Largest Ticketed Concert In American History
Back in February, tickets for Bryan’s show at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor went on sale and sold out in just a few hours.
That means he sold out the biggest ticketed event in U.S. history, since Michigan Stadium is the largest stadium in the country.
By doing this, the “Something In The Orange” singer ended up breaking a record previously held by country legend George Strait.
Strait had held the record for the largest ticketed event last year for a sold-out show with 110,905 attendees at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field.
Before that, it had stood for nearly 50 years, set by the Grateful Dead in 1977 at Raceway Park in New Jersey.
If all 112,000 ticket holders show up to Bryan’s concert on September 27, he’ll officially take the title.
