Big Sky premiered in 2020, and was well-received. ABC opted to give it a second and third season, though ratings dwindled as time went on.
As The Hollywood Reporter explains, Big Sky‘s third season was its shortest, with only 13 episodes. Its seven-day Nielsen ratings showed that viewership decreased by 15%, going from 5.65 million viewers to 4.85 million.
Unfortunately, it turns out the third season of Big Sky is also its last.
The Fate Of Other ABC Series Revealed In Addition To Big Sky
The Hollywood Reporter shared the news on Friday (May 12) that ABC has canceled Big Sky. Other ABC dramas that got the axe were Alaska Daily and The Company You Keep, which both only had one season.
Two additional ABC shows, A Million Little Things and The Goldbergs, had already announced their respective ends. Fans are still waiting to hear about the fate of The Conners, Home Economics, Not Dead Yet and The Rookie: Feds.
