on Jan 16, 2025
Donald Trump’s Inauguration will take palce on Monday, January 20th.
President Trump will become the 47th president of the United States when he takes the Oath of Office on the Capitol steps at his Inauguration. He will become the second president to serve non-consecutive terms, the first being Grover Cleveland.
While the Inauguration is officially on Monday, there are events over the weekend leading up to the swearing-in ceremony, and of course plenty of events after the ceremony takes place.
In recent days, several music artists have confirmed their involvement in these events including Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Parker McCollum, and Lee Greenwood.
There will be three official Inauguration Balls, the Commander in Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball, and the Starlight Ball, according to the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee and several other unofficial balls.
When and where will everyone be performing? We will tell you!
Make America Great Again Victory Rally
The Make American Great Again Victory Rally will be held on Sunday, January 19 at Capitol One Arena. Lee Greenwood and the United States Marine Corps band will be performing there, as well as the Village People, Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, Liberty University’s Praise Choir.
The Arena can hold roughly 20,000 attendees and will kick off around 3 p.m. ET.
Swearing-In Ceremony
Before, and after, President Trump gets sworn into office on Monday, January 20th at 12 p.m. EST, there will be a few musical performances.
According to a photo from Matthew Foldi, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Combined Choirs will be opening the ceremony with a musical prelude. Christopher D. Macchio will then perform a song before JD Vance takes the Vice Presidential Oath of Office.
Next, Carrie Underwood will perform “America The Beautiful” with the Armed Forces Chorus and the United State Naval Academy Glee Club. Following Underwood’s performance, Lee Greenwood will sing “God Bless the USA” with United States Marine Corps band right before Trump is sworn in.
Macchio will return to the microphone to close out the swearing-in ceremony with the national anthem.
Commander in Chief Ball
The Commander in Chief Ball will focus on military service members and will include performances from Rascal Flatts and Parker McCollum.
Rascal Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox released the following statement on social media:
“I am so humbled and honored and grateful for the opportunity again to play the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States. I got to play it in 2016 and now Rascal Flatts will be performing at the commanders ball and I am so looking forward to it…It will be a night to remember!”
Liberty Inauguration Ball
The Village People, Jason Aldean, and a surprise musical guest will serve as the entertainment for Trump supporters at the Liberty Ball.
Aldean is an outspoken supporter of Trump and has attended several rallies alongside his wife Brittany Aldean. They were in attendance at the Republican National Convention to support him.
Starlight Ball
Gavin DeGraw will be performing at the Starlight Ball, which is being held for “high dollar donors.”
There are a total of 18 other unofficial Inauguration events, and we’re sure we will see more performers added to these lineups soon!
