Carly Pearce Reveals Health Concerns Causing Her To Alter Shows
on May 30, 2024
Grammy-award-winning country singer Carly Pearce shares a recent diagnosis that will cause her to make changes to her upcoming shows
In a video posted to social media this morning (May 30), country star Carly Pearce got real with fans about her health and the recent challenges she has been facing. The Kentucky native revealed that she has developed pericarditis, a condition that is defined by the Mayo Clinic as “swelling and irritation of the thin, saclike tissue surrounding the heart.”
Pericarditis is often accompanied by chest pain that can travel into the shoulder or neck.
Pearce expresses that being on the road is very important to her, but through conversations with her doctors and cardiologist, she has made the difficult decision to make some adjustments to her shows to prioritize her health. She adds:
“If my shows look a little bit different, I just know it is because I have to keep my heart rate under control right now.”

The 34-year-old describes herself as a young, healthy person who watches what she eats and exercises. As such, she reminds her fans to “take care of your body and listen to it.”
She ensures fans who are coming to see her either on her current tour with Tim McGraw or her upcoming Hummingbird tour that the shows will still be great, but asks for a “little bit of grace” during this time.
Pearce is set to release her fourth studio album, Hummingbird, on June 7th and will embark on a UK/EU tour of the same name later this year.
