Carrie Underwood Becomes 5-Time CMT Artist Of The Year Winner

Some of the biggest names from past, present, and future country music were gathered under one roof for a very special night in the industry this evening: the 2019 CMT Artists Of The Year event!

Prior to the awards show, a few special stars were honored with a “family portrait” style photo that happened to give a hint at who would be crowned a winner.

In it were Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett, Reba McEntire, and Ashley McBryde.

Considering the gravity of the night and what it means for folks, it was fairly clear these folks would be recipients of the awards – and that much was true for the one and only Carrie Underwood!

Taking home her fifth CMT Artist of The Year award, she thanked many of the folks that helped her get to where she was – especially her fans. Plus, she got to accept it while out on tour in Ohio!
