President Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday, January 20.

The inauguration is always held on January 20th or 21st, but this year, inauguration day falls on Martin Luther King Day. This means that for the first time since 1997, the inauguration will be held on a national holiday.

During the ceremony, President Trump will recite the presidential oath of office. President Biden will be in attendance to hand off the position to Mr. Trump, who also served as president from 2017-2021.

The inauguration also includes the vice presidential oath, several musical performances and benedictions, and of course, the singing of our national anthem.

Carrie Underwood is reportedly performing at the inauguration.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Combined Choirs, The United States Marine Band, The Armed Forces Chorus, The United States Naval Academy Glee Club, and Christopher D. Macchio are also reportedly performing.

Matthew Foldi, the editor in chief for the Washington Reporter and reporter for The Spectator, posted a photo of the program for the inauguration on X.

The program states that Carrie Underwood will be performing “America The Beautiful” with The Armed Forces Chorus and The United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

The United States Marine Band is performing “The President’s Own,” Christopher D. Macchio will close the program with the national anthem, while the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Combined Choirs will open the program with a variety of music.

See the photo of the program below.

In a statement provided to Entertainment Weekly, Carrie Underwood said:

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future. “

While she has never sung “America The Beautiful” on stage before that we know of, she has performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl in 2010 and during the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2017.

Watch her perform before the Super Bowl in the video below, while we wait for the inauguration next week.
