Team Blake was on fire Monday (May 22) during night one of The Voice season finale. Out of the five contestants remaining, two of those are members of Blake Shelton‘s team: Savion Wright, whose stage name is NOIVAS, and Grace West.

NOIVAS landed on Team Chance after his Blind audition performance of “A Change Is Gonna Come” resulted in a four-chair turn. Coach Blake was initially blocked by Chance the Rapper, but acquired NOIVAS by using his Steal when Chance didn’t choose NOIVAS to move on after the Battle Round.

NOIVAS has consistently delivered top-notch performances throughout the competition, so it’s no surprise that he is one of the last contestants standing.

During Monday’s episode of The Voice, each finalist was tasked with performing an uptempo tune and a ballad. NOIVAS channeled his inner country singer to deliver a soulful Chris Stapleton cover for his ballad.

NOIVAS’s voice was the perfect match for Stapleton’s “Cold,” a song from his fourth studio album, Starting Over. As if the pressure of covering a Chris Stapleton tune wasn’t enough, “Cold” earned a Best Country Song Grammy in 2022, meaning that this performance had to be perfect. And it was.

Following the episode, fans agreed that NOIVAS’s performance was one of the best of the night and named him as the one to meet going into Tuesday’s results show.
