Health concerns will prevent Cody Johnson from finishing his international tour stops as originally scheduled.

The “Dirt Cheap” singer has had a huge year. After undergoing eardrum surgery in the fall of 2025, he returned to the stage in February of this year for his Cody Johnson Live ’26 tour. Additionally, he secured his first-ever Entertainer of the Year win at the ACM Awards in May and released his album, Banks of the Trinity, in June.

In a statement posted across his socials on Wednesday, November 4th, Johnson announced that he is currently unable to perform due to illness. He wrote:

“I have been doing all I can to make these shows happen but after just seeing a doctor and on their advice, I have been diagnosed with a viral infection and advised not to perform.”

The shows affected are:

  • November 4: Belfast, UK – SSE Arena Belfast
  • November 5: Dublin, IE – 3Arena

The two canceled concerts were slated to be Cody Johnson’s last shows of the year, with his next tour dates not occurring until February 2027. His statement continued:

“I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and with the late announcement but wanted to do all I could to try and proceed with the shows.”

Parker McCollum and Emily Ann Roberts were on the ticket as supporting acts. All three artists were already in the United Kingdom when the decision was made, having just concluded shows in London, Birmingham, and Glasgow.

Roberts shared the news with her fans and wrote:

“Praying for you, Cody Johnson, and hoping for a speedy recovery. Belfast/Dublin, I hope my band and I get to see you again real soon.”

Finally, Johnson expressed his sadness for the unfortunate change of plans and assured fans that he would someday return to perform in Ireland.

“I am extremely disappointed not to be able to play as I have been looking forward to the Irish shows for a long time. I will do all I can to come back to Ireland as soon as I can and play these shows for you all.”

For those who were planning to attend the shows, all tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

We are wishing Cody Johnson a speedy recovery! You can read his full statement below.
