Darryl Worley’s Daughter “Awake With A Little Smile” Following Car Crash

Savannah Worley, daughter of country singer Darryl Worley, is recovering following a “bad wreck” that took place over the weekend.
In an update posted to social media Tuesday, Worley shared that his “sunshine” was awake and smiling after undergoing surgery to repair a broken leg. He shared the update along with a photo of Savannah in a hospital bed.
“[May] be raining today but my sunshine is awake with a little smile on her face!! It’s been a rough few days but we know God is in control and shielded Savannah in all of this!! Not sure when she will get to go home but today looks a lot better than yesterday or the day before!!” he captioned the photo.
Darryl Worley first shared news of Savannah’s accident on Sunday night.
Worley posted a request for prayer on social media saying that he was en route to Nashville from New Mexico after being informed that his daughter had been in a “bad wreck” and was life-flighted to Nashville’s Vanderbilt Medical Center.

“She has a broken leg, bruises, and lacerations! Please pray for her and pray I can get home to be with my baby girl and Kimberly! Also pray for the lady in the other car! I don’t have any details on the accident but just ask you to pray!!” Worley wrote.
He shared the following day that Savannah would be undergoing surgery to repair her leg and thanked fans for their prayers and support.
Darryl Worley, 60, is perhaps best known for his song “Have You Forgotten,” a powerful tribute to victims of 9/11. The country music singer and songwriter signed his first record deal in 1999 and has six full-length studio albums and 18 singles to his credit. Three of those singles reached No. 1: “I Miss My Friend,” “Awful, Beautiful Life,” and the song that became his signature hit, “Have You Forgotten?” which spent seven weeks at No. 1.
