At the first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards, Jelly Roll performed his hit song “Save Me.”

Little Big Town hosted the very first People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday, September 28. After 48 years of an overall fan-voted awards show, the People’s Choice Awards, it was time that country music got their own!

For nearly half a century, the People’s Choice Awards have graced Los Angeles, giving fans the power to vote for their cherished music artists, actors, TV shows, movies, and beyond. The clamor for a dedicated country edition was unmistakable, and finally, our beloved genre got its moment in the spotlight! Broadcasting from the hallowed grounds of the Grand Ole Opry, the inaugural event unfolded on Thursday, September 28, with the charismatic hosts, Little Big Town, at the helm.

Jelly Roll Performs “Save Me”

Jelly Roll is currently on his massively successful Backroad Baptism Tour, and wasn’t able to be in attendance due to a tour stop at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He has been listed as a performer at the People’s Choice Country Awards for weeks now, so fans were wondering how this feat would be pulled off. Here’s how: he performed live for the PCCAs at his concert in Ohio! It was actually an incredible moment, which happened moments after he was awarded The Male Artist of 2023, which showed off just what his star power has come to. every single person in that crowd was singing every single word!
