Dolly Parton Auctions Off Some Of Her Most Famous Outfits
Recently, Dolly Parton made an exciting announcement on her social media platforms, revealing plans to auction off three adorable dog costumes from the “Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala.” This gala, which aired on CBS on February 21, 2024, was a two-hour special featuring performances exclusive performances by music’s biggest stars, alongside a lineup of dogs dressed up in outfits inspired by Dolly’s own wardrobe.
For the auction, Dolly has partnered with eBay to give the public an equal chance at the signed costumes while also ensuring that all proceeds will go towards supporting the Nashville Humane Association, an organization to help find homeless animals a safe place to live.
Sharing a behind-the-scenes moment with her fans, Dolly shared a video where she personally signed each costume, while also providing insights into the inspiration behind the iconic looks that have been made into pet-form.
For the auction, fans will have the opportunity to purchase three different costumes from the televised gala. The three outfits available for bidding are the “Glastonbury” replica, which is a costume based on the outfit Dolly wore during her performance at the Glastonbury Festival in 2014, the “Angel” dog costume that resembles the outfit Dolly wore in the movie “Christmas On the Square,” and last but not least, the “Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame” outfit that is a nod to the jumpsuit Dolly wore during her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Potential buyers will have until this evening, February 28, to place their bids on these one-of-a-kind pieces, offering a unique opportunity to own a part of Dolly Parton’s legacy while supporting at-risk and homeless pets through the Nashville Humane Association.
