Bunnie XO, Jelly Roll’s wife, runs a podcast called Dumb Blonde Podcast. The podcast was launched in 2019 and has interviewed people from all walks of life. Some of her guests include her husband, Jelly Roll, the makeup artist Jeffree Star, and a female wrestler, Reby Hardy.
This week’s episode is titled “Dolly Parton: Queen of Everything. ” As you might have guessed, Bunnie interviewed the “Queen of Country Music,” Dolly Parton.
Dolly Parton’s Crush On Johnny Cash
During the exciting interview, Dolly Parton revealed her childhood crush.
Bunnie asked the iconic singer what she thought of the late Johnny Cash. Parton responded:
“I had the biggest crush on him … Because he had so much magnetism, and I was young, just beginning to feel those hormones, you know, to where you feel those things.”
Bunnie laughs at the sweet confession and agrees with her, stating that he had a “masculine energy.”
Parton agreed, saying that: “Well, he did. You know, he had all that, you know, movement and all. I found out later it’s because he was coming off drugs. He just had twitches of what I thought was magnetism.”

It was widely known that Cash had an issue with drugs that he struggled with for part of his life. Parton referenced it during the conversation with Bunnie but went on to describe their lifelong friendship.
“He was a real guy and very quiet, but I became best friends with June and Johnny after. So as the years went by, we would visit, and we liked each other a lot.”
Cash married June on March 1, 1968. It was his third and final marriage.
Despite her childhood crush, Parton became lifelong friends with the iconic singer and his wife. To wrap up her story she shared a funny antidote about Cash and his wife, June.
Apparently, June was quite a talkative person. Once, when someone asked him: “Johnny, don’t you get tired of hearing June talk all the time?”
He responded humorously: “No, I do some of my best thinking when June’s talking.”
