Eddie Van Halen’s wife Janie is mourning the loss of her legendary husband.

On Wednesday morning, October 7, 2020, Janie posted an emotional tribute to her late husband on social media just a day after his death. In her post, she shared a peaceful throwback photo of their feet as they relaxed on a beach.

“My husband, my love, my Peep. My heart and soul have been shattered into a million pieces. I never knew it was possible to cry so many tears or feel such incredible sadness,” she began. “Our journey together has not always been an easy one but in the end and always we have a connection and love that will always be.”

Janie is a stuntwoman-turned-publicist and married Van Halen in 2009. The guitar legend and his wife tied the knot after three years of dating. The ceremony took place in the garden of his seven-acre estate at the time in Studio City, California.

She concluded her post with, “Saying goodbye is the hardest thing I have ever had to do so instead I say so long, I will see you again soon in a place with no pain or sorrow. Please watch over Kody and I. We love you and miss you so very much. Love, your PooPee.”
