Just two days before her death, Lisa Marie attended the Golden Globe Awards with Priscilla. They came to support the cast and crew of the 2022 Elvis movie directed by Baz Luhrmann.

The movie stars Austin Butler as Elvis. Priscilla and Lisa Marie previously praised Austin’s performance, with Lisa Marie going so far as to say she believed he is worthy of an Oscar.

So it surely meant a lot to Lisa Marie and Priscilla when they got the chance to see Austin accept a Golden Globe Award for his performance in the film. The two Presley women got emotional as Austin thanked them in his speech.

On Friday (January 13), Baz issued an emotional statement about Lisa Marie’s death. He extended his condolences to her three daughters and to Priscilla.

Baz wrote:

“Over the last year, the entire Elvis movie family and I have felt the privilege of Lisa Marie’s kind embrace. Her sudden, shocking loss has devastated people all around the world. I know her fans everywhere join me in sharing prayers of love and support with her mother, Priscilla, and her wonderful daughters Riley, Finley and Harper. Lisa Marie, we will miss your warmth, your smile, your love.”

Baz shared his message alongside a photo of Lisa Marie and Austin laughing and smiling together while promoting the Elvis movie. You can see that photo and his message below.

Our hearts go out to Lisa Marie’s loved ones during this difficult time….
