The 2024 CMA Awards are fast approaching, leaving many fans wondering when it is, where they can watch it, who is performing, and more. We will answer all of your questions in one place!
When are the 2024 CMA Awards and where can you watch them?
The 58th Annual CMA Awards will air live on Wednesday, November 20th from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The broadcast will start at 8 PM Eastern Time on ABC and will be available the next day on Hulu.
You can also listen to a simulcast of the CMA Awards on Sirius XM The Highway.
Who is hosting the CMA Awards?
On September 30th, the CMA Awards announced that Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning would be returning as hosts. It was also revealed that reigning Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson would be joining them!
Who is nominated?
The CMA Award nominations were announced on September 9th.
Morgan Wallen has the most nominated artist with a total of seven. Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton tied for the second-highest number of nominations, with five each, while Post Malone and Lainey Wilson each earned four nominations. See the full list of nominees below.

Who is performing at the 2024 CMA Awards?
Chris Stapleton will open the show for the first time ever, alongside Post Malone. They will be performing their duet “California Sober.”
They will each perform solo, with Stapleton singing “Yours” and Post Malone performing his own song “What Am I Gonna Do.”
Dierks Bentley is performing a Bluegrass take on Tom Petty’s “American Girl” with Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, and Ashley McBryde will be performing a tribute to the late Kris Kristofferson. It was also announced that Eric Church would be giving “a powerful and moving solo performance,” while Cody Johnson will be putting on “an unforgettable performance.”

On Monday, November 18, a handful of presenters were announced and they got some big names! 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles, actor Jeff Bridges, singer and actor Mark Collie, World Series MVP Freddie Freeman, Doctor Odyssy‘s Don Johnson, viral tractor prodigy Jackson Laux, and singers Little Big Town, Jordan Davis, Dustin Lynch, Katharine McPhee, The Oak Ridge Boys, Carly Pearce, and Mitchell Tenpenny.
Also Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley, Nate Smith, High Potential‘s Daniel Sunjata, Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives‘ Taylor Frankie Paul, and Landman‘s Billy Bob Thornton.
George Strait Will Receive Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award
Along with the 16 performances already announced, it was revealed that George Strait will be awarded the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.
This achievement is so prestigious that they do not even give it out every year. George Strait will become just the ninth person to receive this award.
According to a press release to the CMA, this award is given to “an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in Country Music. The award recognizes those who have achieved both national and international prominence and stature through concert performances, humanitarian efforts, philanthropy, streaming numbers, record sales and public representation at the highest level. The artist receiving this award has positively impacted and contributed to the growth of the genre over the course of many years and has proven to have an unprecedented historical impact on fans and industry alike.”
The King of Country will join the ranks of Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson, Charley Pride, Loretta Lynn, and Alan Jackson.
