Right now, Caitlin Clark is one of the most recognized athletes in the world.
Of course, she rose to prominence playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team before being drafted to the WNBA in 2024, playing for the Indiana Fever.
It’s long been said that greatness recognizes greatness…
As Morgan Wallen walked out on stage for his May 9 show at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was joined by local hero Caitlin Clark.
While the audience at the show seemed enthused, comments on the video online have been fairly divided.
Comments online have been fairly nasty, with some leaning into extremes regarding race relations.
“Why would CC go anywhere near this guy?” asked one person on Instagram.
Another, on X, wrote, “Caitlin Clark is a wolf in klan clothing, walking out with the grand wizard Morgan Wallen.”
One commenter on Instagram wrote, “R-cist White [trash can emoji] supports R-cist White [trash can emoji].”
Some even shared videos of Klan rallies, captioning the posts by saying that’s what an audience at a Morgan Wallen concert is like.
Of course, back in 2021, Morgan Wallen saw significant backlash after a video of him saying the N-word was shared online.
He addressed that incident at length in a very sensitive conversation on Good Morning America.
Back in 2025, Caitlin Clark’s games against Angel Reese, of the Atlanta Dream, inspired some discussion of racism coming from both directions, but largely attributed to the audience reacting to fouls against each player.

"It's just a good take foul. Either Angel gets wide open 2 points or we send to the free throw line. Nothing malicious about it. It's just a good take foul every basketball player knows that"
