Everything You Need To Know About This Year’s CMA Awards

The first round of performers for the 2024 CMA Awards was just announced, and the lineup includes some huge names in country music.

The 2024 CMA Awards will be held on Wednesday, November 20, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. ABC will broadcast the ceremony at 8/7c.

Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will return to co-host the event for a third consecutive year. 2023 Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson joins the duo as a new co-host this year.

Morgan Wallen earned the most nominations, with a total of seven. Some of the other top nominees include Chris Stapleton, Post Malone, Lainey Wilson, and Cody Johnson.

Additionally, Wallen, Stapleton, and Wilson are all nominated for Entertainer of the Year alongside Luke Combs and Jelly Roll (a first-time nominee in the category).

Performers Announced For The 2024 CMA Awards – Including A “First Time” Opening Performance

With less than two weeks until showtime, the CMA revealed its first round of performers. The announcement appeared on social media on Thursday (November 7).

Entertainer of the Year nominee Chris Stapleton will open the CMA Awards for the first time ever. He will join Post Malone for a special performance the CMA says fans “won’t want to miss.”

The Tennessean reports the duo will perform “California Sober,” their collaboration from Post Malone’s album F-1 Trillion.

Stapleton and Malone will also deliver solo performances of “Yours” and “What Am I Gonna Do,” respectively. Other performers include:

  • Dierks Bentley featuring Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes
  • Luke Bryan
  • Ashley McBryde
  • Shaboozey
  • Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims
  • Lainey Wilson

The CMA announced an additional batch of performers on November 14, including:

  • Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan
  • Brooks & Dunn featuring Jelly Roll
  • Eric Church
  • Luke Combs
  • Ella Langley and Riley Green
  • Cody Johnson
  • Megan Moroney
  • Kacey Musgraves
  • Bailey Zimmerman
