‘Happy’s Place’ Season 3 Trailer Reveals Reba’s New Love Interest, Played By A Former ‘Reba’ Star

The official trailer for Season 3 of Happy’s Place has arrived, and there is a familiar face vying for Reba’s heart.
Following the end of her beloved 2000’s sitcom, Reba McEntire singer made her television comeback with Happy’s Place. The NBC comedy premiered in October 2024, with its debut episode drawing more than 10 million viewers across platforms. The series also made history as the most-watched comedy to premiere on NBC’s streaming platform, Peacock.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the hit show would return for a third season. Fans are eagerly awaiting the season premiere, which is set for October 23rd.

On October 6th, the official trailer for Season 3 of Happy’s Place was released, and fans quickly spotted a familiar face. Desperate Housewives alum James Denton has entered the scene to play JB, the new love interest of Reba’s character Bobbie.
Denton previously appeared on Reba in 2004 as Brock and Barbara Jean’s marriage counselor. The following season, in 2005, his character briefly dated Reba before she discovered he was still married.
This will not be the first time that a Reba reunion happens on the Happy’s Place set. Seasons 1 and 2 saw cameo appearances from Steve Howey, Christopher Rich, and JoAnna Garcia Swisher.
Reba Shares What To Expect From Her New Happy’s Place Romance
In anticipation of the new season, Reba gave Entertainment Weekly a glimpse of what to expect from the new romance.
The end of Season 2 saw her character Bobbie hoping to rekindle things with Emmett, played by Reba’s real-life fiancé, Rex Linn. But when Emmett swears off dating, Bobbie gains the attention of a new man: JB.
Reba explains that, while their emotions are still raw, Emmett gives Bobbie his blessing to date again. As for the outcome, the “Fancy” singer says fans will have to wait and see.
“I think the writers are saving that just a little bit, to kinda keep the pot boiling on the back burner until JB and Emmett get to meet.”
She acknowledges the importance of giving viewers something to root for, like many are pulling for Bobbie and Emmett to reunite. Watch the official trailer for Season 3 of Happy’s Place below!
