CMA Shares Announcement About Hosts For 2024 Awards Ceremony
The hosts of the 2024 CMA Awards have been revealed.
This year’s CMA Awards will be held on Wednesday, November 20. The program will air on ABC and be available to stream the following day on Hulu.
Nominees for the 58th CMA Awards were announced on September 9. The list includes a fair share of surprises and snubs. For the first time since 2018, Carrie Underwood was not nominated for Entertainer of the Year. Also, Miranda Lambert did not receive a nomination for Female Vocalist of the Year after a 17-year nomination streak in the category.
Morgan Wallen is the top nominee this year, with a total of seven nominations. Chris Stapleton and Cody Johnson tied for second place, with five nominations each.
Are Luke Bryan & Peyton Manning Returning To The CMA Awards?
Shortly before the nominees were announced, the CMA promised that “hosts, performers and presenters for ‘The 58th Annual CMA Awards’ will be announced in the coming weeks.”
Many fans wondered if Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning would return to host this year’s ceremony. The duo hosted the CMA Awards in 2022 and 2023, with Bryan hosting solo in 2021.
Finally, the hosts of the 2024 CMA Awards were revealed on Monday (September 30). Fans of Bryan and Manning were surely excited to see that the pair IS back to host the ceremony for a third consecutive year.
Adding to the excitement of the announcement, Bryan and Manning are getting a new co-host this year…reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson!
“Hang Tight Honey! @LukeBryan, @PeytonManning AND @LaineyWilson are hosting The 58th Annual #CMAawards!” the CMA said in their announcement, referencing Lainey’s song “Hang Tight Honey.”
The CMA also released a video to accompany their announcement. The hilarious clip shows Bryan and Manning cruising down the road while jamming to “Hang Tight Honey.” Suddenly, Wilson appears behind them in the backseat, causing both Bryan and Manning to scream.
When Wilson explains that she’s coming with the duo, she says:
“Listen fellas, I ain’t trying to kill your vibe, but I think I could bring something to the CMA Awards that you ain’t ever had before…like humor…“
