Late NASCAR legend Kyle Busch and his wife, Samantha Busch, changed countless lives forever through their non-profit.
Heartbreaking news ripped through the NASCAR community on May 21st when Kyle Busch passed away at the age of 41. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion had been hospitalized the day prior for a “severe illness.”
His cause of death was later confirmed by his family to be “severe pneumonia [that] progressed into sepsis.” Sepsis is often referred to as “blood poisoning,” and is a “life-threatening emergency that happens when your body’s response to an infection damages vital organs.”
Over the weekend, NASCAR honored the late driver with heartfelt tributes at the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte. Kyle’s widow and their children attended the event in their first public appearance since his passing.
We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.

The Impact Of Kyle And Samantha Busch’s Non-Profit
Kyle Busch’s legacy will live on through his family, his legendary NASCAR career, and his non-profit work.
Kyle and Samantha founded the Bundle of Joy Fund when their own struggles with infertility inspired them to help others facing the same challenges. After welcoming their son Brexton in 2015, the couple struggled with infertility while hoping to have a second child. Eventually, they welcomed their daughter, Lennix, in 2022 via surrogate.
The non-profit organization is “dedicated to advancing access to IVF care and coverage, increasing awareness, and providing support so others don’t have to navigate infertility alone.”
According to the website, the Bundle of Joy Fund has awarded 178 grants totaling over $2.3 million. These generous efforts have resulted in the birth of 111 babies through in vitro fertilization (IVF). Samantha told PEOPLE in 2020:
“We were fortunate to be able to afford IVF treatments, but it devastated us to know that for many couples, getting their financial estimate would be the end of the road for them.”
While the cost of IVF varies greatly by individual cases, the average cycle costs $15,000 to $30,000, with many families needing multiple cycles.
Samantha shared that the ability to have a positive impact on dozens of families made the struggle “worth it.” She explained:
“Seeing the families we have helped with their babies has helped us to make sense of our own difficult journey to conceive. It was worth all the pain, shots, the months of trying and roller coaster of emotions because it gave us the unique perspective of what these couples face and a strong desire to want to help others.”
