Jelly Roll sure knows a thing or two about country music, and this song might just be his favorite!

Jelly Roll became a major name in country music in 2022 with the release of his hit singles “Son Of A Sinner” and “Need A Favor.”

Since then, he has put out some pretty popular songs, including his brand-new “I Am Not Okay,” for which Jelly thanked fans for making it “the biggest release of my career.”

Shortly after, Jelly Roll debuted another new track titled “Burning.” He first premiered the song on his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jelly fully embraced the “Burning” theme during his premiere performance, singing in front of bursts of fire erupting from the stage

With numerous hit songs to his name, Jelly Roll clearly understands what makes a great country song.

During a recent interview with Taste of Country Nights, the Grammy-nominated artist revealed which song is certain to stop him in his tracks.

He first said, “God, there’s so many of those,” before taking a minute to think about it. Then, he knew instantly.

“‘How A Cowgirl Says Goodbye,’ by Tracy Lawrence,” Jelly revealed. “I loved that record, man. I thought it was such a really cool spin on a break-up, you know what I mean?”

Jelly Roll highlighted the song’s uniqueness, noting its “super sultry” lyrics paired with a “happy fiddle” tune, and then shared:

“Anytime I hear it, it tickles my bones like that. No matter where I am at in life, I will stop and listen to it.”

Jelly Roll’s new tour kicks off next month, and he’s preparing to release a brand-new album soon.

Jelly Roll first announced his Beautifully Broken Tour earlier this year. Just last week, he revealed 15 newly added dates, extending the tour into November.

He wrote alongside the tour announcement, “This is the biggest tour of my life y’all and I’m going to do it really really big this year— I can’t wait to see y’all at a show. Come party with us.”

Jelly Roll also has a new album in the works. Fans have been anxiously waiting for its release date.

During his recent time on Jimmy Kimmel Live, guest host Martin Short asked Jelly about the release date of his next album. He excitedly revealed a major hint about when fans can anticipate his new project.

“Oh, I’m not supposed to say [anything], but I will. This is the hint I will give: Jelly Roll’s music favors the fall.”

If that’s the case, we just have to make it through the summer before we get to hear new Jelly Roll music!

In the meantime, we can at least enjoy Jelly Roll’s recent single, “I Am Not Okay.” Watch his debut performance of the song during The Voice finale below!
