Beautifully Broken, Jelly Roll’s New Album, Debuted On October 11

Jelly Roll’s dream has come true…he has a #1 album.

Upon announcing the release date of his new album, Beautifully Broken, Jelly Roll told his fans about a big dream. He shared how he’d love it if Beautifully Broken became his first #1 album.

To encourage fans to help him reach that milestone, Jelly Roll vowed to donate 100% of the net profits from CD and vinyl preorders to charity.

Billboard reports that Jelly Roll stayed true to his word. The profits earned from the preorders will benefit four organizations: Folds of Honor, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Shatterproof, and Wounded Warriors.

Beautifully Broken was released on Friday, October 11. Jelly Roll followed up by releasing a deluxe edition titled Beautifully Broken [Pickin’ Up the Pieces], which features the viral (and powerful) song “Past Yesterday.”

Beautifully Broken Becomes Jelly Roll’s First #1 Album

Jelly Roll achieved his dream. Billboard reports that Beautifully Broken debuted at the #1 spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart—becoming the CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee’s first #1 album.

“The set enters with 161,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 17, according to Luminate – the artist’s best week ever by units,” Billboard states. “The set’s first week was largely driven by album sales – 114,000 – likewise marking Jelly Roll’s largest sales week yet. The album also opens at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart.”

According to Billboard, Beautifully Broken achieved the third-largest week for any country album in 2024, following Beyoncé and Post Malone. The album was also the fifth country project to top the Billboard 200 this year. The last time five country albums reached #1 on the chart was in 2014.

Jelly Roll has not yet released a statement about Beautifully Broken reaching #1.

The news of Beautifully Broken‘s chart-topping success comes shortly after Jelly Roll made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson joined him to sing one of the album’s tracks, “I Am Not Okay.”

Fans were left begging the pair to record the song in the studio. Their performance video now has over 412,000 views less than a week after it was posted. Watch it below.

Congratulations to Jelly Roll on his first #1 album!
