Kane Brown has been working hard recording a new album which is rumored to have fourteen new songs on it. Along with the anticipation of the album is a very special duet that we’re excited about. One of the tracks on his upcoming release features his wife, Katelyn.

The two of them collaborated on the song “Mad At This World” which is a love song loosely describing how they met. During a video call with SiriusXM The Highway, Brown gave a few details on the project with the main one being,

“It’s basically saying, ‘how could I be mad at this world when this world gave me you?”

Brown later told CMT in an interview,

“We just kind of wrote a song about our background, about how we connected, how we met. When I brought it to her, and she listened to it and just heard the story about my side of the story of how we met, she loved it.”

Prior to meeting Brown, Katelyn was already in the music industry, working on her career as a pop/R&B singer before she moved to Nashville and married Brown in October 2018. In 2019, Katelyn graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She previously released two singles, “Perfect” and “24KT.”
