On the latest segment of her “Kellyoke” series, Clarkson took on Shania Twain’s 1998 hit “You’re Still The One.”

About “You’re Still The One”

The song was co-written by Shania Twain herself and released as the third single from her third studio album, Come On Over. It was a massive commercial success, reaching the top ten in multiple countries and earning Twain a Grammy Award for Best Country Song.

The lyrics express a deep love and commitment between two people, celebrating the strength of their relationship despite its length. The song was actually inspired by Twain’s relationship with her then-husband and producer, Robert John “Mutt,” resonating with couples who have “beaten the odds together.”

“Looks like we made it /
Look how far we’ve come, my baby /
We mighta took the long way /
We knew we’d get there someday.

They said, ‘I bet, they’ll never make it’ /
But just look at us holding on /
We’re still together, still going strong.”
