Once again, Kelly Clarkson has proved to us why she’s the queen of country covers!

During the latest “Kellyoke” segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson covered yet another impressive country cover.

The powerhouse vocalist has covered many country songs in the past, including Lainey Wilson’s “Two Story House” and Chris Stapleton’s “White Horse.”

This time, she took on Miranda Lambert’s powerful heartbreak song, “Tin Man.”

What Is “Tin Man” About?

Miranda Lambert dropped “Tin Man” as the third single from her sixth studio album, The Weight Of These Wings, released in 2016.

Co-written by Lambert, Jack Ingram, and Jon Randall, the song takes a playful jab at the Tin Man from The Wizard Of Oz, whose goal is to find himself a heart. She warns him about the consequences of having one, like the feeling of heartbreak. Lambert, worn out from love, strikes a deal with the Tin Man: her heart in exchange for his armor.

See some of the lyrics to “Tin Man” below.

“Hey there, Mr. Tin Man /
You don’t know how lucky you are /
You shouldn’t spend your whole life wishin’ /
For somethin’ bound to fall apart.

Every time you’re feelin’ empty /
Better thank your lucky stars /
‘Cause if you ever felt one breakin’ /
You’d never want a heart.”

Fans’ Reactions To Kelly Clarkson’s “Tin Man” Cover

Clarkson delivered a simple, stripped-down version of the tearful song, and fans absolutely loved it. Her cover was shared on The Kelly Clarkson Show’s official YouTube page, which has over 100 comments so far, all praising Clarkson for her beautiful rendition:

“Every cover she does it’s a BALLAD and I’m here for it. She knows what to do with her instrument and it’s beautiful to witness.”
“That was absolutely freaking amazing. What a beautiful voice.”
“Man, that was so smooth. Wow!”
“I would pay so much money for the full version of this.”

Kelly Clarkson actually covered the song before during the opening night of her 2019 Meaning Of Life Tour.

One fan even commented on her recent cover reminiscing about her past performance.

“I remember when she covered this on her MOL Tour. One of my fav Miranda songs.”

Another fan said that they loved the song already, but they love it even more now since Clarkson’s cover.

We couldn’t agree more and it looks like the original singer herself thinks so, too!
